Julia helps individuals and couples recognize maladaptive patterns and develop the skills they need to help overcome life’s challenges. Juila supports her clients by providing that sounding board we all need sometimes. Julia wants to work with her clients to help identify and manage overwhelming emotions that maybe they have tried to block out or run away from.
Julia's ideal clients are those who are motivated to take a deep breath and work towards addressing the barriers they have in their life. Julia's goal is to provide clients with the tools and techniques to help support their journey. Julia works with individuals and couples who are struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, and relationship stressors. Julia works with ages 6 years old and older.
Julia draws from different therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Julia is also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy. It is important to Julia, as a therapist and social worker, to always be learning and keeping up to date with the latest research through reading and trainings.

Rachel Barlow graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Southern Illinois University and is currently completing a Master's in Counseling program at Ottawa University with a specialization in Expressive Arts Therapy. Rachael has experience working with children in community mental health, engaging kids and their families with individual and family therapy, as well as facilitating groups for substance use, DBT, and support for LGBTQ+ teens. Rachel has continued to educate herself in the areas of trauma, expressive arts therapy, and autism. Rachel considers herself a life-long learner and makes it a priority of educating herself on the areas of importance to the individuals she works with.
Rachel feels passionate about working with individuals and couples to overcome challenges they feel keep them from getting what they want from life. Rachel believes it's an honor to help others feel heard, understood, and to lead people to personal insight that helps them understand themselves, their relationships, and behavior. Karen has worked with a variety of populations including children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
Throughout our lives we are presented with difficult circumstances both early and often. Perhaps you may have felt misunderstood or disregarded by friends or family members. There may be times in the workplace where you have felt undervalued or passed over for that promotion. Karen assists her clients with focusing on achieving what they wantversus what others tell them they should be doing with their life. Karen helps clients find their true sense of self through understanding and changing dysfunctional behavior patterns, and better navigating interpersonal conflict.
Karen is passionate about making meaningful connections with clients who want to keep moving forward to achieve both personal and professional goals, and to stop being fearful of taking risks that may result in desirable and beneficial outcomes.
